Boarding on Russia's Soyuz TMA-10, ex-Microsoft software engineer Charles Simoni, has been blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome en route to the international space station together with cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin and Oleg Kotov. He is the fifth paying space tourist to the ISS. A 13-day trip to the orbiting station cost this 58-year-old Hungarian-born American billionaire with more than US$20 million. Martha Stewart, who has been linked romantically to Simonyi, spent the final hours before the launch.
