Nellie Connally, The Last JFK Assassination Survivor Dies

Nellie Connally [who once rode in the limousine in which US President John F Kennedy was assassinated], wife of a former governor of Texas state, died at her home in Austin on Saturday morning, a family friend said.

Mrs Connally's husband John, who was wounded by one of the shots, died in 1993.

The only other passenger was First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, who died of cancer in 1994.

As she has been in good health and her death was a surprise.
