Chinese Man Made World´s Thinnest Noodles
The thinner-than-a-human-hair noodles made by Li En-hai (历恩海), a chef with 26 years' experience of making noodles from Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region, has been recognized as world's thinnest noodles by Guinness World Records. The noodles can be threaded 39 strands through the head of a needle. If just one kilo of flour was made into a single extra long noodle, it would stretch over two-thousand kilometers. Link
Update: "The Noodle King" or "Prince of Hand-pulled Noodles" recently displayed his superb skill stretching out dough by hand in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia in northern China. With just 1 kilogram of flour he can pull out 2 million strands of noodle with a combined length of 2,650 kilometers. He is looking for an apprentice from Inner Mongolia to pass his skills on to. 20/April

Researchers who monitored the heads and hearts of romantically involved [6] couples [all in their 20's] found they responded more to chocolate melting in their mouths than kissing.
The findings showed that even the most passionate kisses fail to equal the 'buzz' of chocolate. 'These results really surprised and intrigued us,' said psychologist Dr David Lewis, who led the study.
'While we fully expected chocolate – especially dark chocolate – to increase heart rates due to the fact it contains some highly stimulating substances, both the length of this increase together with the powerful effects it had on the mind were something none of us had anticipated.'
'There is no doubt that chocolate beats kissing hands down when it comes to providing a long-lasting body and brain buzz. A buzz that, in many cases, lasted four times as long as the most passionate kiss.'

This giant golden cod croaker (金钱鳘/黄唇鱼) whose swim bladder is deemed as a very valuable delicacy was netted off the coast of Zhanjiang by a fisherman in the south China's Guangdong Province on April 1. The 49-kilogram-weighing fish was sold to a local restaurant at a whopping price of 580,000 yuan or US$ 75,000, breaking a record set by the same fish weighing 48 kg sold at 22,5000 yuan or US$ 29,000 three years ago. Anyone living in China, please do pay attention when purchasing the food with bright colors which might have been dyed with poisonous pigments harmful to your health. The picture above shows market administrators found yellow croakers dyed with a yellow pigment called Huang Na Feng (yellow sodium powder) used to be a compositition in paints at a seafood market in Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province March 20. It is aslo learned that 12 routinely consumed fruits like citrus, litchi. apples, pears, grapes, watermelons, bananas, peach, longans, mangoes, persimmons and jujube in Guangzhou may either contain overdosed growth-stimulated hormones, preservatives and coloring agents, or have been waxed and bleached. Oldest Noodles Made in China
Unearthed in Lajia archaeological site in China, the noodles made of grains from millet grass (modern noodles are made with wheat flour) 4,000 years ago is thought to be the oldest noodles by the archaeologiests."Prior to the discovery of noodles at Lajia, the earliest written record of noodles is traced to a book written during the East Han Dynasty sometime between AD 25 and 220, although it remained a subject of debate whether the Chinese, the Italians, or the Arabs invented it first."
"Our discovery indicates that noodles were first produced in China," Professor Houyuan Lu from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, explained to BBC News.

Inventor of Instant Noodles Passed Away
From BBC:The inventor of instant noodles, Momofuku Ando, has died in Japan, aged 96, of a heart attack.Mr. Ando, R.I.P!
Mr Ando was born in Taiwan in 1910 and moved to Japan in 1933, founding Nissin Food Products Co after World War II to provide cheap food for the masses.
His most famous product, Cup Noodle, was released in 1971.
Mr Ando said the inspiration for his product came when he saw people lining up to buy bowls of hot ramen noodle soup at a black market stall during the food shortages after World War II.
